Outcomes
By the end of this training course, trainees will be able to : -       Explain the end-to-end AML/CFT transaction monitoring cycle, from alert generation through investigation, documentation, and case closure. -       Apply a risk-based approach to designing, calibrating, and tuning transaction monitoring scenarios, rules, and thresholds. -       Identify money laundering and terrorist financing red flags and typologies across products, channels, and customer segments. -       Manage alerts effectively, including triage, prioritization, investigation, escalation, and preparation of quality STR/SAR filings. -       Implement sanctions screening controls over customers, transactions, and payment messages against UN, OFAC, EU, UK OFSI, and local lists. -       Handle screening hits, including matching logic, false positive reduction, disposition, escalation, and blocking, rejecting, and asset freezing obligations.
