In light of the Institute of Banking Studies tactics to expand the horizons of cooperation and coordination with the Arab banking and financial institutes and institutions, Dr. Marwan Al-Zoubi, General Manager of the Institute, made an official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic from 10/8 to 12/8/2009 upon the invitation of the Higher Institute of Business Administration in Damascus. The visit aimed at discussing the details of the joint cooperation agreement to be signed by both institutes in order to launch several joint training programs and workshops for the benefit of the banking and financial cadres working in Syria.

During this visit, Dr. Al-Zoubi also met the manager of the Bank Training Center where he presented a full illustration of the training courses, the specialized professional programs, the foreign seminars, and the academic programs which the Institute of Banking Studies offers to increase the efficiency of the Jordanian banking and financial sector. Dr. Al-Zoubi also expressed the Institute's readiness to pass its experience and lecturers to train the banking and financial cadres working in Syria in all fields related to banking and financial matters in accordance with the best international practices, and the manager of the Center welcomed this offer and expressed her desire to discuss the means of starting a fruitful cooperation with the Institute of Banking Studies in the near future.
